Day 10

We got one last picture with the Wilson girls.

We hope the Wilson’s can make it out to Oregon some time soon!

Today we drove to North Carolina. We didn’t get a picture of the Virginia sign because we took a ferry (a happy boat) across the Potomac river.

Look…now it’s a RV boat (like a house boat, right?)

So, we got a picture of the last of the Virginia highway we were on (I-81).

We got to Tennessee, but the road we took in didn’t have a welcome sign. Bristol is on the border of Virginia and Tennessee. When we got to the Tennessee side, we stopped for gas and saw a guy filling up a milk jug with gas. And then we saw a place that sells lighthouses (300 miles from the coast).

We had one last look at Tennessee.

Here’s the somewhat blurry sign for North Carolina.

And then we finally made it to Dave & Martha’s. It took about 10 minutes for Chelle to pick up their accent. Papaw and Mimi just love their baby great-grandson!

Jacob munched on a teething ring that Stephanie gave him.

We had dinner and talked for hours. And you know what Jacob did? He rolled over from his tummy to his back! 3 times!!! He didn’t sleep very well, but better than the night before. I think the sound of the AC helped. It was a pretty warm night.

Congrats to Jacob on rolling over! Yeah! But now that means you can't leave him alone anywhere. That little guy will roll across the room before you realize it.

Welcome to North Carolina! I hope you had a great time! Looking Glass Falls is beautiful- I have been there several times.

Sorry the baby is sick! It could have something to do with allergies. This area has so many different plants and whatnot that everyone's allergies act up year round. Anyway, I hope he gets better once you get towards Florida (are you still going even with the tropical storm coming?). \

Jennie rolled over yesterday. We have been waiting and waiting. And just like that- she was on her tummy. Then she got mad because she kept rolling over. Life must be hard when you're learning everything!

Be safe!
